New Patients

We currently have over 15,000 registered patients, which is over 4,500 more than the building was originally built to accommodate.  Over the years we have made several changes to the internal structure of the building, to incorporate more clinical rooms, and have also adopted different ways of working to include telephone clinics and online appointments to maximise the space we have.

Despite these changes we now feel that we have reached our limit.   We are currently unable to close our list and therefore to try to stabilize our list size we have taken the decision, with the support of our Patients’ Forum Group members, to restrict registrations to just one day per month, which will be the first Wednesday of each month.

We will accept registrations from all new patients (within our catchment area) on the first Wednesday of every month, either online or in person.  The easiest way to register will be online via a link which will appear on this page on registration days, or via the NHS App.  Alternatively, you could come into practice to complete paper forms.

We will not be accepting new registrations on any other days, unless you are a household member of someone who is already registered with us, or you are a new resident at Skylarks or Holme Lodge care homes.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly, and we apologise for any inconvenience, however we feel it is necessary to make efforts to contain our list size to allow us to continue to offer safe effective care to our existing patients.

Our next registration day will be Wednesday 4th June.

On registration days we are happy to register new NHS patients within our practice boundary area.

Our Practice area covers all of the West Bridgford, Gamston and Edwalton areas, within the boundary shown on the map below. It does not include the NG12 areas of Tollerton and Bassingfield.

Please see below a link to a map of the practice catchment. In order to provide a high standard of home visit care we are unable to take from outside this area. Also to maintain continuity of care we are unable to take NG11 postcodes as some of these fall under the umbrella of Nottingham City and our practice comes under the Rushcliffe Area.

If your treatment will last longer than that, you’ll have to register as a temporary resident.

If you are unwell, you can register as a temporary resident if you’re in the area for longer than 24 hours but less than 3 months.
